Position Title: Custom Projects Coordinator

Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
We are seeking a Custom Projects Coordinator to join our product development team.
The Custom Projects Coordinator role requires a self-motivated individual willing to work in a fast-paced environment with strong project management skills and strong communication skills to effectively work with departments within the U.S., as well as with our offices and vendors overseas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- International communication
Interfaces with offices in China, India, Denmark, Australia, and Canada. Communicates with sales force globally in the creation of new custom items and serves as the first contact for custom information.
- Inventory Planning
Manages inventory of custom and D.I. products by communicating with sales reps to ensure custom and D.I. products are shipped to customers in a timely manner.
- Project Management
Ensures custom and DI projects meet deadlines by working with China office and factories.
- Project Tracking
Prepares spreadsheets to present information on custom and D.I. projects during weekly meetings to management, sales, PD, marketing, and planning.
Provides updates on the status of custom projects to the Manager-Plush & Advanced Projects and to the sales force weekly. Communicates custom information for the company globally to the Configuration Management Specialist to ensure database remains up-to-date.
- Interdepartmental Communication
Partners with cross-functional departments and teams to ensure customer needs are met, issues are resolved promptly, and to contribute to overall success for the business.
- Process Improvement
Evaluates current processes for continuous improvement opportunities and works with relevant departments to implement process improvements.
Oversees direct reports to ensure performance objectives are met and department efficiency expectations are attained. Meets with direct report(s) to provide regular feedback on performance, changes to procedures, address and resolve issues, etc. Provides coaching and counseling to employees as needed. Ensures employees are following company policies and safety rules. Manages employee payroll and attendance by entering PTO days and verifying attendance and exceptions.

Assists other departments as needed and completes other duties as may be assigned to contribute to the efforts of the team.

Required Education / Experience / Specific Job-related Skills
Years of Experience:
2+ years of project management, customer service and/or related experience.
BA/BS college degree in business or related field is preferred.
This position requires frequently sitting, occasionally standing and walking, and rare lifting. The position also requires manual dexterity and normal or corrected vision to operate a computer in the course of work, visual requirements to safely maneuver throughout the warehouse environment as needed.
This position requires the ability to complete work during normal office hours and maintain communication with vendors in China and India beyond normal office hours.
