8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Plush Designer to join our product development team.

The Plush Designer designs plush products for company specializing in realistic plush animals. The PlushDesigner participates in all steps of the design process: analysis, concept and synthesis. This role assists with the research and development of tangible products and offers guidance on the development of relevant products. The Plush Designer is responsible for contributions related to costing, market trends, materials and processes for production of plush and interfaces with customers, vendors, and colleagues in the U.S. and abroad.

Qualified candidates will have design and illustration skills, including proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and other applicable computer-aided design programs, strong communication skills, close attention to detail, and a positive attitude. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Approvals
    Approves QCs and showroom samples.
  • Design
    Prepares sketches of ideas, detailed drawings, illustrations, artwork using Pencils, Markers and Paints/Brushes, or computer-aided design equipment. Modifies and refines designs, using working models, to conform with specifications, production limitations, or changes in design trends.
  • New Products
    Contributes new product concepts and develops new products.
  • Product revisions
    Prepares revisions to existing products.
  • Product Knowledge
    Develops strong knowledge of current products and keeps knowledge up-to-date.
  • Assist Other Departments
    Assists other departments as needed and completes other duties as may be assigned to contribute to the efforts of the team.
  • Confidentiality
    Maintains confidentiality of all corporate, personnel and research matters and uses good judgment regarding disclosure to appropriate parties.
  • Interdepartmental Communication
    Partners with cross-functional departments and teams to ensure customer needs are met, issues are
    resolved promptly, and to contribute to overall success for the business.

Required Education / Experience / Specific Job-related Skills

Years of Experience:

1 to 3 years of experience in design; fast-paced environment and strong portfolio preferred.


BA/BS college degree in design or related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequently sitting, occasionally standing and walking, and lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The position also requires manual dexterity and normal or corrected vision to operate a computer in the course of work.
