The Sounds of the Wild
At Wild Republic, we include authentic animal recordings in each of our Audubon birds, frogs and squirrels to help transport young explorers to the wild.
In this blog post, we’re providing a behind-the-scenes look at the process Wild Republic product developers go through to create each of these amazing animal noises:
Wild Republic partners with the great scientists at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology who head out into the wild to record authentic animal sounds for our stuffed Audubon birds, frogs and squirrels. Once these animal sounds are recorded, our creative team edits the files and transfers them to audio devices that eventually go into each of our Audubon animals.
Wild Republic designers develop sketches and mockups of potential animal designs, utilizing a combination of realistic and kid-friendly features. Once the designs are approved and finalized, Wild Republic Audubon animals come to life with vibrant plush and realistic animal sounds.
When children collect our Audubon birds, frogs and squirrels, they play and compare the sounds until they are able to detect differences between each animal’s unique call. Take your child to listen to the sounds of the wild, and see if they can identify the calls of the different Audubon animals.
